Topic Brainstorm: Riveting
Surya, The sun God
I have always found cultural outlooks on sun gods to be interesting. The sun god in Hinduism, Surya, represents everything. Surya is seen as the creator of life and the center of the universe. The sun is the most prominent object in our entire solar system. It is something that produces all life on earth and is the sole reason our solar system sticks together. Even ancient cultures knew this, which is why they worshiped the sun deity as one of the most powerful. I would enjoy learning more about other gods encounters with Surya, as the sun god is usually the most powerful. If I were to write a story on Surya, I would create a scene of astronomers studying the sun, when the sun started to become blacked out by an eclipse, Rahu, they saw the interaction between the two.

Weapons of the Gods
Science fiction has always been incredibly interesting to me, whether it be Dr. Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, the Twilight Zone, Black Mirror, etc. Simply by looking at the list of weapons used by the gods, there is an endless pool of ideas of how to create a story using them. Although I do not know anything about them yet, I am extremely excited to learn more in order to write an encapsulating tale. My story would follow the plot of national treasure, where for some reason he is forced to try and steal every weapon in this list.

Yoga
I have been practicing Yoga for one and half years now. Although I have skipped more recently and I feel bad, I am incredibly interesting in learning more about the spiritual aspect of yoga, as opposed to just the physical. Everything about the practice of yoga from the meditation, to the exercise is beneficial, which always leaves me ready to start my week. The story I would write about yoga would involve someone on a self-discovering journey, where along the way they meet the gods whenever they complete a pose that is representative of that god. They have a conversation and the person has found out a little more about themselves from it.

Karma
I am a strong believer in karma. I have always lived my life trying to be a better person, although I know I'm kind of a butt sometimes. I have not known the spiritual origins of karma, but am interested in learning how karma comes to be. For Hinduism it is through reincarnation, where your previous life determines what you are in your new life. I would tell the tale of someone who lived by way of cheating and lying to get what they want, then in their next life they become a fish, named marlin, where his son gets stolen and he has to travel across the sea to save him. On this journey he encounters many gods that give him advice on how to live his life in order to not suffer in his next. After this he is reincarnated again into a human again where he lives his life doing good for others.
