Sita Sings the Blues  Author: Nina Paley Sita went back home with Rama. Even though she went through a trial by fire for Rama, the people did not see this therefore they were unconvinced of her purity. Due to this, they questioned Rama's pride, how he could take back a woman who was with another other than himself. After this Rama booted Sita out the door into banishment. I enjoyed how the narration portrayed the cruelty that Rama showed Sita upon her return. That he literally kicked her out. I also enjoyed how the narrators went into how Sita must have her own internal problems, for always staying loyal to a man that started to treat her so poorly. Not that she was physically abused in any way, but it could be seen from a certain perspective as a domestic abuse case were the victim keeps coming back to her abuser. Even after she had his children she proved herself once more to this man, although this time she return to mother earth. Rama Seeing Sita's Purity for the Last

Sita Sings the Blues  Author: Nina Paley This story was a retelling of the Ramayana through a video. I enjoyed the use of the three narrators arguing with each other and coming to conclusions as to what happened. This helped keep my attention throughout the entirety of the story, although I did not enjoy the addition of a separate story that showed the tale between a modern couple, who's relationship was similar to that of Sita and Rama. Sita and Rama I did find it interesting how this adaption of the Ramayana decided to take out Lakshmana from the group that went out into exile. I did the same when creating a story based off of the Ramayana stories, as I thought Lakshmana was an unessential character to the story. Although the music portions of the story were cool, I thought it took away from the plot of the story. For someone who has has not read the Ramayana before this leaves out some of the story.

This particular artifact was of high importance, the most beautiful painting of a woman from ancient Indian culture, Sita. RAVA placed its claim and obtained Sita without the Cage's even knowing what happened. This particular painting was dear to one of the thirteen children, Nicolas, as he was tasked with caring for the art collection. A Picture of Nicolas Furious with the painting being unjustly stolen from him he set out to obtain it back. Feedback Strategies: Process Praise and Mirror Feedback

Image
Be a Mirror This article is useful as it lists out examples as to how each of the 5 useful qualities within feedback is presented. I always find that being specific when talking to people can show you are genuinely interested in their life, but I never thought this could be utilized when giving feedback. Another important quality is to not tell them they are missing something as that does not allow growth because they did not put any effort into something they did not even think of. The most interesting point in this article was to take oneself out of the feedback. Everyone enjoys talking about themselves, but in the case where you are giving feedback it's best to not say why I think something because it takes away from their growth. Difference Between Praise and Feedback Praise and Personhood Here the article says not to use positive reinforcement as this could make your child feel unworthy if they do not do what was being reinforced. In my opinion this is dumb. The very poin

Week 3 Story: Dr. Rama

Image
For as long as time has gone on there has always been time lords, those who try to control time, but after the great time wars few remained. One of whom was the renowned Doctor. He has came to be known as the keeper of time and even a great warrior, but back in ancient times some called him a god. After a loss whilst fighting the dialects, the doctor regenerated, but this time as a man, the avatar of Vishnu himself. He goes by Rama, and keeps his true identity a secret. The reason for this is to help rid the earth of the monstrous demons that haunt it. He always kept his companion by his side as to not be too lonely on his journey throughout the world. He did not meet her until he was traveling and saw her, Sita daughter of Janaka, at that instant he could see into her soul, he saw beauty, elegance, but most importantly loyalty. In order to prove to her father that he is worthy of having Sita as a companion he must string a celestial bow, that no man could string before him. It is whee
